My name is Emily and currently, I am in my second year of an Art and Graphic Design course at college and this course has helped me to really branch out with my ideas and let my imagination run wild.

From when I was a small child the design world has always strongly intrigued me. The thought of being able to create and experiment without limitations and obstacles to hold you back is what appeals to me the most. Everything on this earth is a piece of design, whether man-made or natural and it is up to us to manipulate them how we want and to create new and exciting things from them.

Typography

I’m creating some gorgeous typography pieces at the moment :) pictures and finals will be up soon!

I have another order for badges :) ah, I’m really proud of these little beauties.

WHITCHURCH BLACKBERRY FAIR.

…was an absolute success!
Changing my prices was a very good idea if I do say so myself.
(95p per postcard - 50p per badge - £1.30 per postcard+badge pack)

In the end, I managed to sell my entire product range as well as selling to the ‘Craft Shop’ in Whitchurch :) now fingers crossed that they sell quick off the shelves their and the owner requires to purchase more off me :)

Very successful day, roll on the Christmas Fair!

This brief was to design and create a new and up-to-date range/collection for the retail store Laura Ashley. I decided on the wallpaper approach to the brief and at the end of the project created an exhibition board and exhibited my work at the South Cheshire End Of Year Show at college.

As part of the live brief given to us we had to design and create several postcard/greetings card designs to produce and sell at the Blackberry Fair in Whitchurch; a one day, all day fair this year on the 6th of October (anyone is welcome).

These photographs are the choices from my final selection and the captioned images are the photographs that have been sent to print in preperation for the fair.

They will be sold at 70p per postcard and I am also creating badges using the same design set which will be sold at 50p each.
